The partnership will enhance the Pre-University Foundation Program and provide greater opportunities to further studies with JCU. James Cook University (JCU) in Singapore and Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC), Sri Lanka’s leader in innovative, technology driven and research-based education, have signed an agreement to pave the way for students to join JCU’s Pre-University Foundation Program in Sri Lanka before enrolling for the relevant Bachelor degree at JCU in Singapore.

JCU’s Pre-University Foundation Program provides an alternative pathway to tertiary education by equipping students with the skills and capabilities to enter tertiary study.

Earlier this year, JCU in Singapore also partnered with SLTC under a new initiative to offer new pathways for Sri Lankan students who aim to pursue JCU’s Bachelor of Tourism, Hospitality and Events. The partnership provides opportunities to obtain dual degrees in Tourism, Hospitality and Events, and Travel and Tourism Management by studying the last two years of their degree programme in Singapore after completing the first two years at SLTC, or study one year at SLTC and the other two years in Singapore to obtain the JCU degree. SLTC students also have the option to study a few subjects in Singapore to acquire international experience. This enables SLTC students to further their studies with JCU in Singapore and learn to devise innovative solutions to contemporary challenges, while adding to JCU’s diverse student population.
