The Office of International Affairs and Research was established in 2018 as per the concept to transform SLTC into a world-class university. The OIAR is exclusively dedicated to enhancing global relations, promoting multidisciplinary collaborative research programmes, and facilitating students and staff members by providing resources, platforms and scholarly exchanges.

Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC) is the only corporate powered, research based, fully residential University in the country and a fully owned subsidiary of Sri Lanka Telecom. With that working with the OIAR is more secure. Also it is easier to students and to collaborators for decision making.

SLTC maintains a large number of global research and academic partnerships with universities from all over the world. Most importantly, SLTC has a wide range of experiences working with various sectors of international collaborations
