In celebration of the global Erasmus+ Programme in Europe and beyond on October 13, 14 and 15, SLTC Research University organized SLTC ERASMUS DAY on the 14th of October 2022 at the Padukka university premises and this was the only event organized by a Sri Lankan university for the year 2022.

The event was graced by the H.E. Dr. Victor Chiujdea, His Excellency the Ambassador, Embassy of Romania for Sri Lanka and Hon. Mr. Lars Bredal, Chargé d’Affaires, European Union to Sri Lanka & Maldives, delegates from Embassy of Germany, and other well-wishers.

#ERASMUS DAYs is a celebration for European countries and their friends from around the world to organize an event, share Erasmus experience or spread the word about the collaborative work and projects supporting the various topics and areas. SLTC is the only non- state university in Sri Lanka to be part of four Erasmus+ projects in the domains of technology enabled active learning (TEAL2.O), non -academic staff capacity building (ENACT), inclusive education (INCEDU) and accreditation and internationalization (SSAPI). As a result of these projects, SLTC established a TEAL classroom, and a Special Needs Support Centre, obtained equipment and participated in transnational meetings and events held in several European countries. SLTC has close collaborations with European partner universities and institutions and has developed partnerships for student and staff mobility programmes. Erasmus+ projects not only support the partners in these projects, but they also pave the way for further collaborations between the universities.

The event was also attended by the project members representing the University of Peradeniya, University of Rajarata, University of Ruhuna, University of Moratuwa and the Eastern University of Sri Lanka.

SLTC as a promoter of global education and international standards is a partner to four (04) ongoing EU-ERASMUS funded capacity building projects through which relations with the prestigious universities in EU  countries including Germany, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Sweden, Romania, and Bulgaria are fostered. We believe that the involvement of SLTC in attracting EU grants to Sri Lanka on par with other Sri Lankan state universities is an outstanding achievement.

Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC) successfully held its first-ever Convocation on 30th of November 2021 at Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre with the participation of distinguished guests, academic & non-academic staff, graduates, and their parents.

The event was graced by His Excellency Mr. Denis Chaibi as the Keynote speaker who is the present Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Delegation of the European Union to Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Mr. Chaibi congratulated all the graduates on their achievement while also commending SLTC as a young university, for guiding and uplifting the skills of the students throughout their undergraduate life.
